About Vincent Audio
Vincent is a German high-end audio brand specializing in premium two-channel stereo equipment. Its products combine German engineering, high-quality components, refined construction and elegant design to deliver precise, dynamic and engaging sound.
Vincent offers two core technologies: pure transistor and hybrid tube-transistor designs. Transistor models deliver a precise, airy and dynamic presentation, while hybrid amplifiers combine the warmth and musical character of tubes with the power and control of transistors — making them capable of driving demanding loudspeakers with confidence. From integrated and pre/power amplifiers to CD players, DACs, headphone amplifiers and streaming components, Vincent focuses on high-performance audio with exceptional build quality and lasting value.
Reference Point proudly represents Vincent Audio in India, bringing German-engineered, hybrid-tube electronics to listeners who want tube warmth without giving up the drive and control of a solid-state output stage.
Since 1995
“You can't describe a Vincent — you have to hear him.”
01
Founded by Uwe Bartel
Vincent Audio was registered in 1995 as a trademark by Sintron Distribution GmbH in Iffezheim, Germany, founded by Uwe Bartel. The brand launched with the LS-1 preamplifier and D-150 hybrid stereo power amplifier that same year.
02
Design in Germany
Vincent's essential developments and product design take place in Germany, with technologically important parts manufactured there and select products assembled in Germany, while series manufacturing runs in the Far East to carefully controlled standards.
03
Frank Blöhbaum's engineering legacy
Engineer Frank Blöhbaum, who escaped East Germany in 1989 and later helped develop camera technology used in blockbuster films, created his first Vincent-associated power amplifier prototype for Thorens in 2005 — earning a Best of Show award at the Munich High-End Fair.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Vincent Audio really a German brand?+
Yes — Vincent was founded in 1995 by Uwe Bartel through Sintron Distribution GmbH in Iffezheim, Germany, and all product development and design still happens there, even though series manufacturing runs in the Far East for select ranges.
What's the difference between Vincent's transistor and hybrid designs?+
Transistor (solidLine) models are pure solid-state, giving a precise, airy and dynamic presentation. Hybrid (tubeLine) models put vacuum tubes on the input stage for warmth and musical character, then use a transistor output stage for the power and control needed to drive demanding loudspeakers.
How long do Vincent's tubes last, and what's the warranty?+
Vincent's German warranty runs 5 years on its devices (other countries have their own regulations); tube longevity varies by model, but Vincent's own preamp valve stages are typically rated for around 10 years of conservative use.
