A one-man passion, since the late 1990s
“My ‘design journey’ continues, and the sky is the limit…” — Piotr Gałkowski, founder
01
Born from a Michael Jackson concert
Founder Piotr Gałkowski's obsession with sound quality began after attending Michael Jackson's only concert in Poland in October 1996 — the impeccable live sound made his own hi-fi speakers sound "undefined" by comparison, and he decided to build better ones himself.
02
Named after the stars
His first speakers, Altair, took nearly three years to perfect and combined his two passions — music and astronomy. Proxima followed in 2007, inspired by the monolith in Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey," and won highfidelity.pl's "Best Product 2008."
03
A workshop, not a factory
Based in Ozimek, near Lake Turawa in southwestern Poland, every Divine Acoustics product — from initial sketch through carpentry, upholstery, assembly and final listening tests — is done entirely by hand in a small family-owned workshop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Divine Acoustics speakers made?+
Every Divine Acoustics product is designed and handcrafted in a small family-owned workshop in Ozimek, in southwestern Poland, near Lake Turawa — from the initial sketch through carpentry, upholstery and final assembly.
What is the "golden ratio" enclosure design?+
It's a proportion system — the "divina proportio" known since antiquity for its aesthetic qualities — that Divine Acoustics applies to every cabinet shape, so the speaker reads as a harmonious, furniture-like object rather than a plain box.
What do the CeraGem anti-vibration accessories do?+
They're platforms and footers designed to control unwanted vibration reaching your speakers or components, for greater clarity and coherence. CeraGem D, the latest version, adds microdiamonds for finer micro-vibration control and is featured in the Newton DIAMOND footers.
