Electra Generation 3 is the speaker that will fit into many interiors. It is achieved by the ability to personalize the look: speakers are available in 7 different color and texture finishes, 2 different shapes of the front panel – Avantgarde and Elegance – and two color versions of finishing the tweeter: gold or steely. It is a floor-standing beauty. The sheer musicality, rhythm and spacious, engaging sound-staging will be yours to discover within a very elegant, room-friendly shallow-depth cabinet. It has been designed according to the CRCdesign system. Every component in the CRCdesign system is carefully chosen for ultimate cabinet-to-driver integration. This is essential in achieving superior sound quality. Electra Generation3 is a bottom vented bass-reflex. For its construction a combination of many types of materials were used. The side walls made of several layers of MDF and wooden board are forming a frame reinforced with a steel grating that strengthens also the front and rear walls. In addition, to strengthen the cabinet more, at the height of the bass driver a laser-cutted steel rim has been mounted. To add more stability and weight, bottom wall is also covered with steel part. Cabinet stands on a steel plinth finished with 4 chrome graphite spikes.

Transducers:

Both bass and critical midrange reproduction is the responsibility of the low-frequency driver with high-performance parameters. Its diaphragm is the combination of coated cellulose, which well suppresses resonances, with very light and rigid single-layer carbon fiber, which supports the transient response. With an ultra-low weight of 9 grams, the diaphragm of the 13cm (5,5in) driver also has remarkable bass performance due to its ultra-low, comparing to the size, resonance frequency of under 40Hz! Even much larger drive-units do not possess such good attributes. The combination of BAD system and the driver’s excellent mechanical properties contribute to sensational low-frequency speed & definition and articulate mid-range reproduction.

Tweeter is the prepared specially for Electra silk dome with a diameter of 25mm, which operates in a magnetic drive with 2 additional chambers. They are used to suppress resonance and match efficiency of the dome to bass speaker cooperating with it. Magnetic system has been grounded and equiped with BAD system, which optimizes the sound of the speaker. The dome is protected against damage with the steel arch. The tweeter is mounted into the cabinet with use of the TMI (Tweeter Multilayer Isolation) system – with help of a few washers made of carefully selected materials with different properties of damping. Both the woofer and tweeter are secured and protected by fabric, magnetically mounted grills.

Crossover:

The heart of the new Electra Generation3 is a crossover with second order filters and impedance corrections. The crossover is point-to-point soldered hand-build layout using systems developed by Divine Acoustics: SGP (Single Ground Point) and RFpath (Resistors free path). The first focuses ground of the entire system at one point and shortens signal path to help to discharge the capacitors correctly. The RFpath enabled the complete cancellation of the series and parallel resistors from the tweeter’s path. Crossover contains Jantzen Audio Series Z-Superior, Z-Standard and Cross-Cap capacitors, precision metalized resistors, and OFC core and air coils. All internal connections are made with OFC copper ribbons of specific lengths and specified directionality. All joints are made with high-purity soldering alloy which does not contain lead (Pb free).

Transducers: Tweeter: 25mm (1in) silk dome with ferrofluid cooling, double rear chambers design, TMI and BAD systems. Midwoofer: 13cm (5in) very light coated cellulose/carbon fibre diaphragm, basket with BAD system, vented magnet.
Crossover: SGP and RFpath systems, well-matched, time/phase coherent 2nd order filters optimised for linear impedance and easiness of drive by amplifier. High quality components: foil capacitors, sintered OFC copper coils, metalized non-inductive resistors. PBfree connections and OFC copper ribbon internal wiring. Gold plated single connectors.

Electra Generation 3 is the stereo floorstanding speaker suitable for listening rooms of 14 to 22 square meters. It is designed to sound best with high quality solid-state or vacuum tube amplification from 10-60 watts-per-channel (recommended power).
